This really resonated with me. I tend to turn apathetic instead of working through big emotions, but I do try to break out of this habit. I used to like that I could do that, because it felt helpful, but recently I've been feeling like I don't have the tools to work through my pain or most negative emotions, and it's not serving me at all. The team and you did a wonderful job!
This was great. I really loved that both of the main characters could be considered good, or at least had good intentions that made sense. Those intentions were just simply incompatible. Despite what Maurizio did in the end, I still ended up resonating with him more than Demetrio. Part of it was that the narrative was told through his perspective, and part of it was also that I genuinely believe in what he (or you, the writer) are trying to say about human pain and how important it is. I'm glad you wrote about this.
The art is absolutely gorgeous, it looks like you've gotten more skilled! The piece where Demetrio is laying in bed had so much emotion in it (or...lack-thereof in his case). The voice acting was great too! Will be thinking about this game for a while.
it’s so interesting that you say they’re both good in some way. you’re right. however, people have been wording it more like “they are both bad in some way,” myself included. i got a lot of comments from friends about how they wanna shake these guys by the shoulders. honestly, ME TOO, but if someone shook some sense into them, we wouldn’t have pain siphon, and that would be very sad.
the importance of human pain is a topic close to my heart because it represents a broad spectrum of italian generational trauma. in my/my friends’ experiences, older generations are uncomfortable with any kind of pain and get frustrated when they have to process it. the way the cycle is broken is often when younger generations have to learn how to navigate that. the rich kids tend to stay sheltered within the mindsets and views of their parents, the ones who have had brushes with poverty tend to break the cycle and grow beyond. congrats to maurizio for breaking the vicious cycle. the arson was a little much, but it’s fine. we live and learn.
my art has changed a lot because i switched to doing my sketch and lineart drafts in pen and ink rather than digitally. thank you so much for noticing and appreciating the effort of my team and i!!!! i’m so glad you vibed with it.
This was an absolute delight to experience. The atmosphere is exceptional, every piece of this was crafted with such care and artistry I’m only sad there wasn’t more! The team delivered such a chilling and haunting story that hits the mark at every turn: unsettling sound design, top notch voice acting, stunning art and ui. Definitely play with the lights off and with headphones, thank me later! Well done to all who helped bring this to life, MWAH 10000/10.

This was lovely and I hated it, the way it ended, the turns it took... ough. Thank you for sharing.
*minor spoiler warning, read it first!*
